Pioneering Stem Cell Therapy: Bangladesh Hosts First International Session on Aesthetic and Regenerative Treatments

Dhaka, Bangladesh – September 17, 2025 – In a landmark event for the nation's healthcare sector, Impulse Hospital, in collaboration with Index Group and South Korea's DOF organization, successfully hosted an international scientific session on aesthetic and stem cell therapy on September 4, 2025. Held at Impulse Hospital in Dhaka, the workshop featured live demonstrations of advanced stem cell applications for skin and hair rejuvenation, marking the first time such international practices have been showcased in Bangladesh.

The session, titled "Scientific Session on Aesthetic & Stem Cell Therapy," drew medical professionals, researchers, and stakeholders eager to explore regenerative medicine's potential. Chaired by Dr. Mahbubur Rahman Chowdhury, Director of Impulse Health Services and Research Center Ltd. and Chairman of Bangladesh Eye Hospital & Institute, the event highlighted DOF Korea's expertise as a pioneer in stem cell innovation and cell banking. Keynote speakers included Mr. Sungkil Tak, Chief Operating Officer of DOF, and Ms. Mijeong Choe, Head of Global Networking at DOF, who led presentations and live demos emphasizing cutting-edge techniques in stem cell therapy.

"We are proud to be at the forefront of introducing stem cell-based therapies in Bangladesh. This collaboration with DOF Korea marks a new milestone in healthcare innovation for the country," stated Shafiullah Al Munir, Founder and Group CEO of Index Group. His remarks underscored the event's role in bridging global advancements with local needs, particularly in aesthetic treatments that leverage stem cells for non-invasive skin and hair restoration.

The live demonstrations focused on practical applications, showcasing how stem cells can enhance collagen production, improve skin elasticity, and combat hair loss through minimally invasive procedures. Attendees observed real-time procedures, which highlighted safety protocols and international standards. This hands-on approach aimed to educate local practitioners on integrating these methods into routine care.

Looking ahead, Impulse Hospital announced plans to launch Bangladesh's first comprehensive Stem Cell Therapy Center. This facility will offer world-class treatments locally, adhering to global standards and potentially treating a range of conditions beyond aesthetics, such as diabetic ulcers, autoimmune diseases, and organ regeneration. By reducing reliance on overseas medical travel, the center could make regenerative therapies more affordable and accessible, addressing Bangladesh's growing demand for advanced healthcare amid a population exceeding 170 million.
